At Escape Mail, we do our best to get your adventure to you quickly, safely, and at a fair price. We’re a small team running a global game business — so while we aim for speed and efficiency, we also believe in transparency about how shipping works.

🧭 What to Expect (at a glance)

Order placed → We confirm and prep your shipment.

Processing → Next day (parcels) or every other day (letter mail).

Shipped → Carrier picks up; tracked orders get a tracking number. OR we drop at post box for letter carrier to pick up.

Delivered → Time depends on destination and shipping method.

🌍 Where We Ship From

We ship worldwide. Orders may come from:

Calgary, Alberta, Canada — our headquarters, where we stock all SKUs and offer local pickup. We also ship all letter mail (subscriptions) from here.

Fulfillment warehouses in Canada, the US, and the UK — strategically located to reduce shipping costs and delivery times.

Our UK partner, GMS — helping us serve Europe faster, more affordably, and tariff-free where possible.

💰 Shipping Costs

Free shipping on orders over $100 USD for orders within Canada and US (occasional promos may also include free shipping).

For other orders, we charge the actual shipping cost. At checkout, you’ll see the most cost-effective options available.

Often, Escape Mail pays more for shipping than what you see on your receipt — we cover the difference so you don’t have to.

⏱ Processing & Delivery Times

Processing:

All orders are processed within 2 business days, but typically parcels ship the next business day, and letter mail is sent every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Tracked Shipping Estimates:

Speeds vary based on the shipping method selected at checkout, but in most cases there are options starting as quick as 2 business days for tracked shipments. Please note that all delivery speeds are estimates, not guarantees.

Letter Mail Estimates:

  • Within Canada: 2-6 business days
  • Within Continental USA: 5-10 business days
  • International: 7-15 business days

We’re a small two-person team. If we run into an unexpected hiccup, we troubleshoot quickly and prioritize getting your games out as soon as possible.

📦 Tracking & Carriers

Tracking:

Available if you select a tracked option at checkout.

Carriers we use:

Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, Purolator, and others depending on destination and speed.

Subscriptions:

Delivered via regular letter mail (“snail mail”).

🎁 Packaging

Standard games ship in protective brown boxes.

Letter-mail subscriptions arrive in envelopes and may experience more wear than boxed shipments.

🔄 Lost, Damaged, or Split Shipments

Lost packages:

If your order didn’t have tracking, we’ll try again once — often using a new address to improve success (especially for international shipments).

Damaged games:

If a game arrives unplayable, we’ll replace it free of charge.

Split shipments:

Rare, but sometimes items ship separately if stock is distributed across warehouses.

⚖️ Duties & Taxes

Customers are responsible for duties and taxes when games cross borders.

We work hard to minimize these costs by stocking inventory in the regions we serve.
